Son feeds the birds!

on January 20, 2012

Son and I got home this afternoon from a 5-hour round trip to Perth and back and, despite his disapproval of my ‘bird thing’, Son fed the gang and didn’t mind at all!

‘We should have more moments like this, Mum,’ he said.

Long story short: I know the photos don’t reveal it, but Son has a 75% scoliosis with surgery scheduled for 14 February.

I DO wish your Son good luck with the surgery. Hope his recovery is not too painful and debilitating.

(Having had lumbar disc surgery 3 years ago, I know operations on your back are a bit scary).

Maybe some Bach Rescue Remedy drops regularly, before and after surgery, will calm his nerves (& yours) – I take these homeopathic type of Flower Essence drops before & after all my surgeries, whether they be big or small procedures. They work well for shock or nerves before an exam or job interview also.

Never heard of those drops – will have a look when in town today – thanks!

If you do buy a little bottle of Bach’s Rescue Remedy (about $18 for the smallest bottle), look up Bach Flower essences on the internet and it will tell you how to take them (2 drops on top of your tongue or in water). They act like Homeopathic treatment. They have no effect on someone with nothing wrong with them, but can have miraculous effects in some trauma or stress situations.
I recommended them to my surgeon last August when she was feeling stressed and she told me later that they really DID work and she felt much calmer.
I’ve seen 2 people have incredible results and I’ve used them myself. Sometimes they work for me and sometimes they don’t.

        I’m convinced!

My heart goes out to you all. You are having such a rough time of it; that is why these moments are special.

Thanks Tilly – it’ll be fine. We tried so many nonsurgical options but nothing worked and Son’s spine just kept curving. He is actually excited about the op. now because he wants those 3 inches of height back!

    Hi,
The photos show a lovely peaceful moment with the animals, under the shade of the beautiful trees.

  4. Good luck with everything ♥

My hub’s had the condition all his life but manages it well – seems to affect tall people – it’s good that they can correct this for your son while he is young

You’re dealing with such a lot, Julie – hope you have a punchbag somewhere out there in your garden!

Hi, just found your post – it’s lovely 🙂

Re scoliosis: Have you checked out Quantum Touch? I am not a trained practicioner but have recently used it on a friend who got much better from it. It’s non-invasive and I am sure there are people near you who can do it.

Might be worth a shot, if there is a chance of not having to have surgery?

PS Forgot the link http://www.quantumtouch.com/ in case you want to check it out.

And thanks for the ‘like’ on my post ‘Pommie’ —- and now it just clicks with me – the Australian connection … you’re in Oz, aren’t you? How funny!!! I’m in Scotland 🙂 (and my first thought was Perth, oh that’s not even that far but then I saw the pictures and I got it, hehe).

    Sending more love ***

I have read all 3 of your stories and I really like them. I can see your sons scoliosis. And you are a fellow Aussie, cool, I live in Bega. All bloggers I have interacted with so far are from overseas.
