There are all these new birds here – I counted over six pink-and-grey galahs yesterday, a multitude of blue wrens, some wild ducks, and more crows and magpies (which I took for granted before) than I have ever seen before. It’s becoming a wonderland of domesticated and wild birds living in relative harmony, and even our three dogs are okay with things. Now that is a small miracle!
The title of this post is not me trying to be profound; it’s me unable to find my camera – arghh………….
How frustrating!
I found it!
Julie…You are so funny! Hopefully the wonderland will thrive and expand and next time you will have camera in hand!!
See – I’m a poet!!
Sending good thoughts your way – and fyi – posting my poem tonight with post-image. Polished it up knowing you were waiting for some writing!! 🙂
Thanks, poet!
Now just re-trace your steps, Julie.
What did you do after taking the last photo…….
I admit to always putting my camera on my desk when I arrive home (to remind me to download the day’s images) and then to putting the camera back in it’s bag (ready for the next excursion).
I’m a wee bit obsessive about routines – otherwise I wouldn’t be able to find my camera either LOL
I sympathise with you though.
I finally found it by accident but too late as it was dusk – oh well, there is always tomorrow!
I wondered what the time difference was for us so I went on line and looked it up. You are 16 hours ahead of me if you are in the timezone with Melbourne. You are almost a full day ahead!
Yeah, it’s weird. I am writing while you guys are asleep and I am reading post the next day that were posted yesterday so it’s a bit confusing – hehe!
Hope to see some photos next time, especially the blue wrens. I love wrens.
Just found camera so will do my best tomorrow!
Yaaaaaaay! So glad and can’t wait! ~ Lynda
Yeah, now I just have to wait for it to charge!
Hehe! Never mind. How lovely it must be, anyway.
Yes, in a way it’s quite nice just to watch them without trying to ‘capture’ pics of them!
It’s an all too familiar story. Keep smiling.
Okay!
🙂 Ha, Ha…Julie ], you’re terrific! I love your sense of humor.
Now I’ve found camera and it’s nearly charged I have to figure out how to put the battery in again and stop the flash thing happening – argh. Can you come over and give me a hand?
Well, that’s an original idea for a post, telling about the birds you would have photographed if you’d found your camera. Ha, ha. Fooled me. I clicked on the title a couple of times looking for the photos. Gave me a little chuckle to realize that’s what you just said – that you couldn’t find your camera!
Yeah, and now that I’ve found it and it’s charging there are, of course, no wild birds to be seen!
I like photos of birds, but I’m never quick enough to get that photo. I’ll visit here to see yours, now that you’ve found your camera! 🙂
Don’t get too excited – I am very new to photography!
Sounds great to me. Are they migrating? It’s spring here, and the birds are trickling back.
Oh dear, not sure! – I don’t think migration comes into it (I will have to find out because I am really quite a bird novice). Most of the birds I mention are here year around but not so many in our garden – it’s fantastic to see them!
Yeah! I see you’ve already found your camera! Yeah! Mine is a growth out of my hand for which the doctor could find no cure.
I’m glad the doctor couldn’t find a cure – hehe! Your photos are inspirational!
Hi,
Oh what a shame you couldn’t find your camera. Sounds like word is out in the bird world, that your place is the place to be. 😀
With my camera nearly charged, there are, of course, no wild birds to be seen – typical!
At least you don’t do what I do. I find the camera and take tons of pictures. Later, I realize I never put the memory stick back in.
I do that too!
Hahaha! Too funny. When I saw the title of this post I thought it was going to be another one of those “Where’s Waldo” pictures. I still swear there were two birds in that tree.
You never know – there might have been several birds in that tree!
