on April 20, 2012

Until yesterday, I didn’t know if Baby Turkey was a male or a female. Now I know. And he most definitely knows!

These turkeys grow up very fast!

Impressive, but I guess that’s the point.

  3. Beautiful creature. Here in the desert right now we’re watching the hawks swoop in to eat the baby ducks. On our (golf) hole we began with a family of 11. Now down to 2. Sad, but such is nature. I believe nature’s fragility is part of what makes her so beautiful.

Wow, turkeys are generally not thought of as beautiful birds, but this one is almost attractive! Lovely plumage and interesting facial colours.

I love turkeys (when they are alive still 🙂 ) I have a few posts about the wild ones – we have lots of those all around, but they act just the same as your boy!

  6. Very pretty. Now I feel bad. We’re having a turkey for supper tomorrow. Oh dear! But I’m sure he didn’t have as good a life as yours is having.

He’s beautiful. I’ve never seen a brown/tan? turkey before. No wonder he’s strutting his stuff.
