Yes, I am over-posting, sorry. I am wide awake with anxiety for a friend who has been in a car accident and for the people in Colorado. I don’t know what to say about any of this so I revert to talking turkey trivia….
In the forefront, you can see Bubble approaching me for a hug.
Now, Bubble is right next to me on the table, looking very huggable.
Bubble was rather cute when he was little.
It was Anthony who wanted turkeys and here is a picture of our first Bubble who didn’t survive. And, a few months later, Anthony began living in the nursing lodge.

you are feeling a void
yes
I’m learning a new appreciation for turkeys. I always thought they were really ugly birds unless they were on a platter on the dining room table. But I see there’s more to them than that when they’re alive (they have feathers). And they must be lovable. (I know I love turkey). Just teasing. I know you care about your birds, and Bubble is probably more fun alive than on a platter.
I love turkey meat too but don’t tell Bubble!
Deal.
sweetest – i have never seen a baby turkey! xo
I adore Bubble and I think the feeling is well and truly mutual!
Nearly midnight here so I’ll say goodnight, Sis!
Sleep well and peaceful ‘Sis’ 🙂 … I was up past 4 am here –echhh groin on fire. Gotta make this stop somehow… xo
So how come that treatment didn’t work – what the hell are you going to do? There must be something to take the pain away please God.
so many mixed opinions… i’m sure there will be more. It’s like the medical community just guesses. I have followed so many patients (like me)… it is a scary field. I’m will keep working on trying to get help without making things worse… that’s the hard part. Yes- please God — I agree … xxoo you ok?
It is hard to even imagine the kind of physical pain you endure; emotional pain is a very poor cousin. I salute you every day.
They are both awful— just different. I know both 😦 I salute you right back my sister ~ hang in – we will get there, just have to xo
Yes – are you doing better today?
has been fairly consistent agony lately and more issues with mobility … time for mris of the hip to see if the joint has deteriorated a lot over the year. If it has, then I may be offered the prosthetic hip… it’s all scary – but i’ll do anything if they can promise me relief…
I would do anything too – I think I may have already told you but my brother had a hip replacement and is was wonderful – lots of prayers and love to you Robyn.
Yes – you did mention your brother. I know it’s a great operation for the right indication (bone-on-bone arthritis). Last look, I still had space in my joint – so they are looking at other issues like my weird (retroverted) femur angles, and i even wonder about the fact that my 10 month post-op mri read a “frank labral tear” — the tear was supposed to be fixed in surgery in 2010? I am much worse then before that surgery. Just so tired of all this… So appreciate your prayers and love — and sending so many back to you too!! xo
I want to say every swear word in the book about what you are going through.
It is amazing what good pets turkeys make. A friend of mine has one and he walks right up to me so I can pet him. Love your pictures.
Thanks so much and great to meet you!
Nice meeting you too. Here the picture I took of my friend’s turkey, Buddy:
What a beauty – thanks!
It’s hard to believe that little bird and the big one are one and the same! He has quite the wattle!
I know!
Ha ha, such fun and adorable photos!!
Thanks!
Welcome!:)
loved the photos and the memories,,,,,,,,,
Thanks Terry!
thanks for the follow as it led me to you and Bubble! gobble bubble and to you as well, many blessings to you and yours! great photos and beautiful love shared.
Thanks Sherry!
I think turkey’s are an ugly bird and you know what else I don’t even like to eat them not that how they taste has anything to do with how ugly they are…………..but as babies they are cute but I wouldn’t want to eat a baby one either…………that would just be weird and gross………
I will not tell Bubble about your comment – ha!
It’s lovely to see baby turkeys after my scary encounters with the adult varity at the zoo. It is amazing how these enormous rather cross looking creatures start out their life as such loveable balls of fluff.
Yes, I wish now I’d taken a daily photo to see how little Bubble became big Bubble!
How was your friend who was in the accident?? I hope all is well there. And as for Bubble, holy moly. I wanna hug him!! Where does he sleep, if it’s not too personal?? Loved this post!
He just sleeps with the chooks! Thanks so much for your comment.
Still waiting to hear about the friend in the accident.
Hope your friend is okay.
Still waiting.
I have to admit that the adult Bubble doesn’t look very huggable to me 🙂
Hope your friend is safe, Julie.
Waiting to hear news of the friend.
