Photos of your birds always bring joy to my heart!
And as to the photo you’re keeping private — what a delicious feeling of contentment and joy that must be! How lovely of your friend, and how wonderful for you.
Yes he looks like a peahen but he is the one white peacock we have (I only know this now because his tail feathers are so long). But, yeah, he does look very princess- like!
Looks like everybody has a day off … and just minding their own business in doing nothing. Some beautiful birds you have – especially the curly duck *smile
Lovely focus in these images, Julie.
Can you lighten them a little? You’ve got a small point & shoot camera haven’t you?
I think so – I will ask Ming to help me – yes I have a Canon G10 and still haven’t figured it out!
What lovely photos, of peace and quiet…
Thanks BD!
contentment is grossly underestimated! much like being satisfied can be mis-read. love the pics!
I so agree with you about contentment!
Love these photos
Thank you!!!
They look very happy. My wife got bitten by a duck. Is this common?
Ha! A duck? I don’t think that is common but I get bitten by that gander Godfrey all the time!
Glorious. Guess you never disturb Godfrey when he’s indulging in this unnatural pastime 😉
No way – that would be terrifying!
They do look peaceful and quiet. My kind of yard birds.
They can also be extremely noisy!
Photos of your birds always bring joy to my heart!

You should see his photo – it is so great!
hope a little of Godfrey’s contentment rubs off on me
While the rest of them look content, I think Godfrey is just sitting there trying to “hatch” a new plan! 🙂
I think you’re right!
Love the pics! Love the birds!!
The white one at the bottom of the picnic table is a peahen, right? She looks very content. I think I see a peacock above her keeping watch. Sweet.

Well, don’t tell him I mistook him for a woman.
I don’t think he would mind – he is a gentle soul!
beautiful photos of beautiful birds………..
Looks like everybody has a day off … and just minding their own business in doing nothing. Some beautiful birds you have – especially the curly duck *smile
The curly ones are Sebastopol geese – quite hard to find so I am lucky to have them!
Never seen a curly bird anywhere before … first I thought I saw wrong – so beautiful ….. you are some bird lady.
It’s all rainy and muddy today so they are not so beautiful!
Who would be in rain and mud ???? Rain is hanging over us too. You have to take a photo on them where they are standing up so we can see their curles.
Okay!
Simple peasure.
Oh to be a bird!
I want to be Godfrey.
I want to be Wonderbutt.
My favorite is the albino peacock by the picnic table. I’ve never seen one prostrate.
I love it when I come home and they are all strewn across the lawn like art!
wonderful role models for us all.
Yes, I was tempted to join them then realized Godfrey’s contentment would be shattered if I dared – ha!
