Tina told me off!

on April 12, 2012

Before I realized this Aracauna chook was a rooster, I called him Tina Turner because, well … you can see why.

He just reminded me that this is, primarly, a bird blog!

  1. LOL I used to do that too – call my chickens by name – but Tina suits “him” just fine.

    Hi,
Oh yes I can certainly see why you called him Tina, what a shame he turned out to be a he. 😀
    He is gorgeous though.

      He’s also very nasty!

I have a horrible habit of loving pets with bad manners. I always end up with strays with attitudes. Currently, a stray cat comes to my door every morning and every evening for tuna and milk, won’t let me touch her, and even caught one of my nuthatches (which nearly made me cry), and I adore her. She’s a pain. A primadonna who values her freedom over me, but she’s spunky. What can I say?

You are funny and that cat sounds like such a character although the loss of your bird would’ve hurt.

    Can he sing like her?

  15. Since he’s a modern rooster, I’m sure he doesn’t mind being named Tina Turner. lol
