Tomorrow

on April 20, 2012

Well the ‘yeeha!’ anticipation of yesterday’s post was crushed today when I found out that I am not supposed to bring Husband home so soon after his hospital adventure, so that was a fizzog. The disappointment in Husband’s voice on the phone has crept into today’s nothingness and splashed everything with gray.

So, no champagne or crayfish after all and Son is at his friend’s place so I’m alone and, although I usually love being alone, tonight, having just said ‘goodnight’ to Husband on the phone, I feel more bereft than usual.

It’s okay because my plan for tomorrow is that Husband, Son and I go to the restaurant where we celebrated my birthday earlier this year.

What a disappointment. Perhaps you could take advantage of circumstance and just give yourself a day to do as little as possible, except enjoy the beauties around you. Easy to say, I know – but sometimes things do happen for a reason.

Great photo! It makes me smile just to look at it!

What a lovely photo of your lovely family.

Sorry. That stinks. You got me in the mood, though, so we’re going out with friends tonight. I’m getting crab cakes & wine–as close as I can get to crayfish in the Midwest.

  4. I hope he’s home with you soon!

ugh!! So disappointed Jules, and can only imagine then how you are feeling. Hang in – there will be another opportunity for crayfish and champagne. Look forward to your festive lunch out tomorrow!!

I’m sorry your plans got fizzoged. (I don’t know the word fizzog, but the context is one of disappointment.) I hope your outing to the restaurant is lovely. Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

  7. Sorry things didn’t work out as planned. I hope tonight nothing gets in the way of you going out with your husband. Have a great weekend!

fizzog, is that a nice way of saying f’d up? I like the family photo because of the different expressions. To happy days. prost.

  9. Maybe it can happen another time.

  10. I am totally going to start saying fizzog – no matter what it means!

Take tonite to just relax, refresh, and renew. Take a bubble bath, drink that champagne anyway, and then tomorrow celebrate!

  12. I’m so sorry. Breath…One step at a time. Go slow. Give yourself room to process. Tomorrow is another day. You and your family are in my prayers.

  14. Another bummer. I’m sorry Jules,

You’re a striking family and your son looks so proud of you both. Don’t forget that he’s felt this way and will again.

  15. I thought of you today Julie. I went to the Balingup Small Farm Field Day and saw alpacas, ducks, a variety of chooks (including ones called Frizzies that I hadn’t seen before!), and peacocks and peahens. I thought how lovely it is that you don’t have to go out to enjoy these lovely animals as you have them all at your back door! Hope you tomorrow is better than your today. X

  16. {{{HUGS}}} to you, and much love xoxo

Bummer! I hope the next day went to plan.

PS In the UK ‘fizzog’ means ‘face’, from the French ‘visage’ But I prefer your definition.
