I fought the fugdom and won! Almost all the mail has been opened, bills have been paid and I am about to light the incinerator to burn off all the rubbish. In Australia there are strict rules about fires and as of 1st May we are allowed to light them. Yeeha!
I told myself I wouldn’t blog until I’d done this and as a result I have accumulated 41 comments which is a bit daunting but oh well.
A random picture of two of our peacocks on one of the old sheds to symbolize the bright colour of this rather rainy day!
Yeeha!

Way to go!
The bank account is having a nervous breakdown!
I felt fugly all week and just loved the definition/examples you gave. I should empty out my car, but it seems sooooo hard. (:
Do it!
Out of curiosity, have they even flown away?
We bought a mother and her teenage chicks to begin with and, unfortunately, as we were putting them in the holding cage (to acclimatize them to this place) she flew away to the next farm. Then we bought another several, did the holding cage thing, then we bought an adult male and female and, except for that first mother, none have gone anywhere. They all sleep in the same two trees at night and just wander around the property all day and hang around the back door for bread. Oh and the 3 white ones hang around too. I have heard they usually fly off eventually but not these guys! Sorry for the long answer!
Well done !
I’m glad that you’ve got the fugdom on the run. Don’t drive it away too far. We don’t want it over here!
It is being delivered to your doorstep tomorrow morning because you will know exactly what to do with it – no, wait a sec. Mrs Tootlepedal will know exactly what to do with it – hehe!
Well done on your achievement! I know I dislike paying bills and all the admin that comes with it. Not an easy task
And now I am broke – do you have any money? Just kidding!
🙂
A friend of mine has peacocks and she said they make good guards on the property. However, they’re noisy but beautiful.
They are absolutely the best – independent, tame, beautiful and always around – I love them. But, yeah, they are a lot noisier than they look!
Such interesting creatures, and I also remember they can have an awful smell too, but I don’t remember when, LOL!
I must have lost my sense of smell!
It should be good dear Julie… Thank you, have a nice day, with my love, nia
Hey, I love this photo. So much texture and the peacocks are so lovely! Glad you’ve paid your bills, Julie. 😀
~ Lydna <— (I've gone dyslexic in my old age!!! I simply can't type my own name correctly anymore, and must back up and correct it every time. Sometimes I wonder how many times I've done it and didn't catch it! (???))
I think of you as pixi!
Thanks, that’s way better than Lyd-na 😉
isn’t it a great feeling when we accomplish paying those bills?? lol
you really accomplished alot-I cleaned out my papers yesterday and started today with a walk to the coffee shop…sure feels good..
As they say in the UK, Spiffing!
Well, thank goodness you got that stuff done. I thought maybe we’d never hear from you again if you were not going to blog ’til it was all done.
Yay, good for you! Nice photo.
Good for you getting all that done. I’ve had days like that. Hope it continues to improve. Thanks for the photo of the birds. We were entertained for hourse by the peacocks at Huntington Library the other day. They are beautiful, but as you well know, very noisy. Yet, I sort of like the sound and just add it to the rest of the birdsongs being played. Peacocks are like the best of a hummingbird blown up 100x. The same shimmering feathers.
Yes and they make a variety of noises too – like a big honking noise + a screamy noise – so funny. Lucky we don’t have close neighbours!
WOOHOO, way to go girl! you saw it, you dealt with it, and you conquered it! By the way, this is a dumb ole u.s. girl asking but do the peacocks fluff their tail feathers at certain times? I’ve only ever seen one in person and it had it’s tail feathers extended like a fan, and it was very pretty.
It’s a mating ritual but they seem to do it off and on all the time!
Well done!
Great job!

Onya, Julie 🙂
Thanks bluebee!!!
