Tricked you!
This is a photo of Son and his great friend, Z, at one of last year’s school balls. Z. said it would be okay to put it in my blog.
Note: Son said he doesn’t want to get married until he is 57 because that is the age Husband married me – ha! I think Z and I would agree that Son can be a bit too reticent.
Z is like a bird of paradise, a breath of fresh, new air.
Son is like an avocado tree.

Beautiful photo!
Lovely photo.
(In my opinion, Son should get married when he meets the RIGHT person – hopefully a kindred spirit who has the same values, is a great friend and someone he falls in love with and with whom he wants to spend the rest of his life. I DO hope he is lucky enough to find someone as kind, thoughtful and sensitive as his Mother).
I hope and dream and wish for him the best too – but life is unpredictable….
She is beautiful and I think he should marry her when she is ready, men need women to tell them what to do…;-)
I think she has a boyfriend – alas!
But she looks very happy with your son, maybe he can win her over
I guess you never know, Katrina – hehe! Juliex
Oh Jules I love you and your words. I think Z is amazingly beautiful and her eyes certainly shine with inner beauty as well.
I agree – she is gorgeous!
Avocado tree and a breath of fresh air? How adorable this will be in several years to blackmail them with. Or maybe you?.
Ha!
Stunning!
Unfortunately she has a boyfriend but she is still Son’s good friend and she facebooked me that she liked the post (phew!)
that is beautiful Julie. I see from above there is no relationship, but a friendship is something to treasure for all times
So right!
I am struck with the fact that Son looks very much like Husband!
I can’t wait to tell Husband this!
like how they matched their reds and blacks. Pretty woman and handsome son.
Beautiful photographs and beautiful young faces… Blessing them both. What a beautiful friendship… and how nice they have a wonderful photographs by a beautiful lady 🙂 Thank you dear Julie, with my love, nia
She is very beautiful! ~ Lynda
They make a lovely couple.
Beautiful photo of a beautiful friendship. Thank you for sharing this sweetness, and to both of them for ok’ing it. A wonderful post.
What beautiful photos! We should always take our time to fall in love, but hopefully not wait as long as your husband to make up our minds!
Yes, Husband was a bit slow on the uptake – hehe!
You wrote an odd euphemism for Son. Poor dear. Mom’s can be so embarrassing! haha 😉 I’d catch heck from any one of my three sons for that comment. But hey, I’m not running for Most Popular Mother, either.
Son saw it on FB and didn’t mind – go figure! Thanks, Most Popular Mother – haha!
Dont you know Jules that we never get the girl we would choose for our sons – well except the lucky Inna perhaps.
haha!
Gorgeous – both of them. An avocado tree?! Haha – you’ll be in trouble if he reads this post 😉
He did read it and asked me what I meant and I said avocado trees last forever!
The avocado tree comparison escapes me, but I sure think Z is a bird of paradise. And from his look, it sure seems like Son thinks she is too!
Our avocado tree is at the back, near the bird yards, and is totally neglected, but huge, strong, and fruits regardless – I guess I kind of meant it that way!
The look great together! How cute! We love the avocado tree comparison.

Your decision to address him as ‘Son’ may have been due to privacy issues, but my, do you sound adorable.
Awesome picture of Son! 🙂
Just checked out your blog in more detail and I love it! I wish I could subscribe but I keep oversubscribing to blogs and then unsubscribing because I can’t keep up. Would it be okay with you if I put you on my blogroll?
That’d be superduperultramega-nice of you 🙂
Thank you for the kind words jmgoyder!
ps. I’ve heard of people who subscribe to thousands :O
They look lovely together. And I bet he changes his mind before 57. 🙂
How did you know – hehe!
Very sweet! The photos are precious.
Luckily Z didn’t mind – isn’t she a star!
