Thanks for a look at your home -what a welcoming shot coming onto the property.Good to see the fowl wandering amongst the larger view. Holsteins? Enjoying both your blogs, Julie
I could not live there. I’m kind of a city girl. But Cap’n Firepants would love to have a place like that. I tease him that he can get a ranch and I will visit him on the weekends.
Nice farm! Not many dairies around here but plenty of beef cattle. I grew up milking a few cows on my PawPaw’s farm. Years ago, he milked and traveled to town everyday, selling fresh milk door-to-door. Great memories.
These photos made me homesick for a visit to your place.
Me too!
Gorgeous, looks so peaceful.
Mostly!
Looks like a very nice property, Julie. Do you farm any of it (now that Anthony is unable to do the work), or do you lease it out to other farmers.
Our neighbours lease it and Son milks cows for them -fantastic arrangement!
Julie, I was wondering the very same thing! ~ Lynda
Yes!
very nice, reminds me of what i see in my part of the country, along with the puff ball clouds
Beautiful place. Lots of work, I’m sure, but it’s good that you’ve been able to lease it.
And the people we lease to are wonderful.
How cool that so much of it looks like I imagined, I see you were meant to be his wife.
Interesting that you imagined it this way – intuitive!

Angus – and thank you!
Impressive place!
Paradise.

I’m the other way around – would love to have a holiday house in the city!
so this is the farm in the memoirs?
One and the same!
Hi,
Looks like a fantastic farm, a beautiful property.
Great photos.
I am lucky!
Lovely 🙂
I have more photos but they wouldn’t upload – argh!

I still live in the place of my memories – weird. Was your PawPaw your grandfather?
Paternal grandfather. He was a one-armed dairy farmer. Lost his right arm at the elbow at age 40 to an oil derrick.
He sounds heroic!
A beautiful spot, Julie
You bet!
Seems so beautiful dear Julie, I love farms… Thank you, love you, nia
Come and visit!
The milk shed (?) is very different from my grandparents dairy farm, but the rest could be Wisconsin. It always makes me smile to see cows – thanks!
Yes – that’s the old dairy! Wisconsin – here I come!
I can tell I’m getting more and more lazy. It’s so lovely….and looks like a lot of work. But I like cows and birds.
I don’t have to do much because the farm is leased and the cows are theirs. The birds are very self-sufficient so I’m lucky!
Oooooooh, I wanna go there. Look at that blue sky with real clouds in it! Awesome!
You are welcome any time!
