Peacock poop is a bit unsightly when it is found on the top of your newly washed car, your outside veranda, or underneath your innocent shoe(s), but, once it dries, it is easy to sweep away with the leaves. Gutsy9 can ruin the immaculate neatness of this farm and house (ha!) by coming into the kitchen, flying up onto the table and eating whatever is on the table while I hang up the washing outside. Yesterday, she came into the veranda and purred (yes purred!) to Anthony until he stroked her little head. And then she pooped.
Your pictures are gorgeous! π
I don’t think it’s possible to take a bad picture of a peacock – they are so beautiful.
That’s a lot of peacocks and the potential for lots of poop!!
Yes!
Well every living thing has got to poop! π Lovely photos Julie!
Thanks Diana!
Great pictures but I was expecting to see peacock poop…
Your wish is my command.
Gutsy and his many friends are fun and pretty to look at but the poop takes the edge off of the enjoyment I’m suret. Anthony probably likes it though.. Hope things have settled down somewhat and Ming is okay (forgiving himself) … Diane
Ming is okayish – getting there – thanks Diane.
I don’t think I have ever seen that many peacocks in one place.
Here it is the Canada Geese.
They migrate through this area and stop to rest, before they fly farther south.
Hundreds of geese congregate on the lawns of the houses by the lake.
By the time they leave, there is more goose poop (looks like half smoke cigars) than grass.
I love those geese and remember them from my childhood in Canada.
I love those geese and remember them from my childhood in Canada. I had lost touch with yours and others’ blogs over the months – good to catch up again!
they are gorgeous even if they have to poop
True!
The title got my attention. Love this one. Photos amazing.
I love these birds.
I was too! where was the peacock poop!!!!! LOL
Perhaps tomorrow I will take a photo of it haha!
Accidents do happen. Lovely birds wish I had some.
Think yourself lucky you don’t have to face the mess the owner of this car came back to after leaving the car parked under the railway bridge at Mount Florida station in Glasgow. The car sat there for over 2 weeks as I saw it on my way to and from my work.
That photo is hilarious!
I’m sure the owner didn’t think so. Must have been a pain to clean it.
Parking under a railway bridge is dangerous as pigeons roost there.
I am glad that you have been able to get back to the ordinary everyday life again, after your recent scare. Welcome home π
Still negotiating a rocky road but good to be back – thanks Elizabeth.
Julie, these are indeed wonderful pictures, but I too was expected to see poop on the table. But sometimes a good thing when wishes don’t come true. Take care, Bill
I can always send you an autographed picture of peacock poop if you want Bill lol!
Some people have to clean up dog poop you clean up peacock poop………………..lol
Love all the pictures…………….
Peacock poop is stickier ha!
Great pictures! I had no idea peacocks purred! It’s so heartwarming to think of Gutsy9 hopping up to get a scratching from Anthony. Maybe the poop was meant as a gift!
The purr is kind of like a soft rolling rrrrrr sound.
Julie, I’d love to visit your joint. Just seems so lively with luciously coloured animals, so vibrant, beautiful fresh. Wonderful photos π
It’s also very messy, but I would love you to visit too!
Ya gotta love em.
Sorry I lost touch with yours and many other blogs – too much happening lately.
With such beauty about who cares about the poo? π
Beauty is as beauty does, and the purr outweighs the poop.
