Me: Hi Ants.
Anthony: That wasn’t a very enthusiastic ‘hi’, Jules.
Me: I am selling the farm and I am worried that this will hurt you.
Anthony: I’m already dead so nothing can hurt me.
Me: You’re not here, Ming’s moved out, the maintenance is getting ridiculous, and I guess the bottom line is I have fallen out of love with this beautiful place and its quaint old, ailing house.
Anthony: Jules, you do whatever you want and trust your instincts. I left the farm to you so it is your decision.
Me: Thanks Ants. I miss you so much….
Anthony: I will applaud you, whatever you decide, Jules.
He gives you excellent advice, hope the sale goes through with no complications.
Thanks Susan – I have had to come down down down in price due to market but will still be okay financially. It is all a bit emotional though x
I am sure it is, well done for making all those decisions!
Wishing you only good things in this next chapter, Julie….
it sounds like the time to move on to your next home. you will always have the farm in your life and in your heart, whether you live there or not.
Hi Julie, howdy?
I love that you keep us informed on occasion. It is always a few heartfelt moments when I stop to breathe…… and read you. Thanks for all you do and best wishes on the sale.
Great to see you back here. I love your imagined conversations! I think Anthony is right on; it is your life, your decision, and you need to live your life however you want to! I wish you good luck and much happiness and fulfillment!
Thank you for letting us as well as Ants know what is happening.
This is a great picture to go with this post Julie. He is applauding your decision to do something for you.
You need to do what you need to do, he understands and wants you to happy and without stress
It is good that you waited, just because that is the right thing to do before making a decision after losing a spouse. Moving on when it feels like a burden will give you new freedom to embrace a new chapter in your life. Best of luck!
Dear Julie,
I heard you whisper about this a few months back and now you’re really doing it! I’m happy for you and will be excited to read the next chapter from your new abode. I want to know where you go from here and what you are up to.
Will you continue to blog or will you write on Facebook from now on? I hardly go the the FB anymore, but I will check in often if that is where you will be. I am also assuming that the move will force you to change your email address??? Do let me know!
Love you!
Lynda
Dear Jules, this is a bit like having a cherished pet put down; you know in your brain that it’s time but your heart whispers doubts. To avoid regrets later, I suggest you take photos of everything that needs maintenance and record the inconveniences of living out on the farm. I always take a video of a declining pet so that later, when I miss him, when I wonder if I acted in haste, I can reassure myself that it was a wise decision.
Best wishes in your new adventure!
nice to hear you are moving on. best of luck finding a new home
