Shut up and listen!

on January 2, 2012

Don’t worry; I’m not telling anyone else to shut up – I’m just telling myself.

I have too many unspeakable words to utter and these words are like an omelette-gone-wrong inside my head. Ie. Cherry ripe doesn’t go well with parsley and Husband asked me not to bring him any more Cherry ripes (well, he could have told me he didn’t like Cherry ripes a bit earlier in our relationship!)

Okay, so I have listened and I have heard.

Yesterday, just before releasing Wantok, Son said to me, his words like mini-arrows, “You care more about the birds than you care about me.”

Okay, so I have listened and I have heard.

The following Youtube is absolutely beautiful, and it contains some wonderful clips of birds.

I need to care for my fledgling.

Thats us women for you, we care, nurture, and love our babies, however big and handsome they are, like the young man here, your son. Fabulous image. By the way, was this taken with your new camera? its a brilliant shot.

  2. All three of my children have accused me of loving my dogs more than them. I tell them they run a close second and if they would stop back talking me they might be promoted to number 1 HEHEHE. Kids says stuff to get our attention. They know we love them more than life. Just kiss him and then kick him in the booty. Better yet have him do all the work and upkeep for the birds for a week. I am sure he would get a better understanding. 🙂 Don’t be so hard on yourself.

Again I have no words, except to say that I continue to pray for your family’s strength during this hardship. ~ Lynda

And you have wonderful wings to help your fledgling soar even better, along side you, then on his own!!

I guess Son is feeling upset and angry (at having to put Husband and Father in a nursing home) too. Those feelings are natural.
I’m sure he doesn’t really think you care more about the birds than him.
As time goes by, I’m sure he will come to understand that his Father needs extra care now.
I love the YouTube clip – wonderful images of birds.
