Thank you for reblogging my post, it’s really of you. I am happy that I can help you understand and help your son 🙂
You are a hero!
I have had 2 operations on my ankle, after putting up with excruciating pain for a few years. You do get used to pain but it’s great when the pain is gone. I have pins and plates, but the pain is away – great NHS treatment. You may find that further treatment may sort out your problem. Don’t give up hope.
What a lovely comment and thank you – so glad your pain is away. Early days for Son but looking good! Nice to meet you by the way.
Thanks to the doctors at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Will be going to Edinburgh Zoo nest week so hopefully should see a Darwin’s rheas, which is from the same family as an Emu, as well as some exotic birds.
Incidently, Some of my ancestors left the Isle of Skye in the 19th century to live in Perth, Western Australia.
I’ve never even heard of a rheas! Hope you take lots of pictures at the zoo.
Are you in touch with any Perth relatives?
I’m off this fortnight. Looks like tomorrow will be a good day for the zoo as it will be sunny. Its still a bit cold but the animals will be out. We will be travelling on the Panda Express!
I don’t have any contact with anyone in Perth as they moved there in the 1850’s. Some went to work in Glasgow where there was plenty of work for skilled labour and the more adventurous went to Australia.
Coming from Skye, they could not speak English, as only Gaelic was spoken in the islands. The only Perth I have been to is the City of Perth on the River Tay. it is a lovely city as well.
Thanks for that information and have a wonderful time!
Met Office website says Edinburgh will be sunny but only 11c so will be quite cold.
