This is Zaruma drinking hesitantly from the water trough for the emus.
This is Zaruma trying to hide the fact that he is drinking from the emus’ trough.
This is Zaruma promising me that he will not actually get into the drinking trough.
This is Zaruma after having a swim in the trough.

oh that little Zaruma – my cat promises me things too and then does the opposite
Yes, you can’t trust these pets – ha!
that was so cute and sneaky!!! lol
Very!
A rascal he is!
He is so dirty!!!!
having fun though?
That’s for sure!
I’m sure he meant it when he said it. You need to get a pinky promise!
What is a pinky promise?
It’s when you lock your little finger with someone else’s little finger and agree on a promise. It’s the only time I can trust my newly 6 year old daughter. When I feel like something’s up, I say, “let’s pinky promise”, and if she finds a reason not to, I know I’m being conned!
Yeah I thought so – a useful thing to remember – ha!
you’re showing that you are the mother of a son who will probably never do a pinky promise. Daughters, on the other hand, regularly do them. I shall provide instructions. Ok, so put your hand out in front of you, fold down all fingers except for the little finger, turn hand sideways (with folded fingers facing inwards), have another human do it with their same hand, clasp the other human’s little finger with your little finger, now make a promise to the other human that you will never break, and there you have it – a pinky promise. Sage will do one with you on our return.
These instructions are useful – haha! I am gonna say it to Ming when he gets home tonight.
That is so funny. Never trust a thirty duck. LOL
He seems to revel in being muddy!
Julie, they always think they are so clever. You catch them in their lies and their response is to…
DENY. DENY. DENY! But we love them anyway! 😉

PS: Georgie and Frellnick have discovered they can pinch back and win!!! Not that I condone fighting and pinching, mind you… but it is about time they stood up for themselves. 🙂
Yay!
Gave me a giggle!
LOL
Ha ha ha – and how long will he take to clean all that crud off?!
The whole of winter probably!!!
Ha! love the look on his face (although i’m sure i’m projecting here as his look has remained the same in all of the photos)…but that look says “what? you knew I was going to do it, don’t look so surprised!”
He is a brat!
I was a brat…and I would consider that a compliment! 🙂
That’s because you are a brat!
hehe, so I is 😉
Never trust a duck when it comes to water…
cute little ducky!
Love the duck. That face definitely says he is totally innocent!! Yeah, right?!
Barb
He is a cutie!
This gave me a real giggle!
Gotta love him!
nice article. keep posting like this…http://www.acertemail.com
Darn. He looked so snowy white before his little dip in the trough!
If he hadn’t rolled around in the dirt after his ‘bath’ it would have been better!
So cute…and so innocent (ha, ha)!
