Hi to any bloggers I subscribe to. I am not getting your blog posts via email for some reason, so, if I usually comment and haven’t done, that’s why. Perhaps the wordpress happiness engineers are doing something exciting? I will probably be excommunicated for saying that. Hopefully the glitch will be fixed soon so I can keep better contact. On the other hand it has been rather relaxing not reading all those blogs – ha! Julie

I read recently that with the new upgrade, any new blogs that you follow, you will have to use their “follow by email” spot. The plain old following button only allows you to follow in the reader now.
Argh – so do I have to start again?
The blogs you’ve been following for a long time should still show in your email, but any new follows from the last few weeks might need redoing.
That is the weird thing – all the blogs I’ve been following for ages are not showing up. Gotta go to bed now but will check tomorrow – thank you so much!

If I keep having these glitches I will go back to the blogroll too – round in circles like a chook!
Isn’t great when things don’t work as they are supposed to do – I would turn to the happy and even an unhappy engineer – good luck.
Hi Jules, I had the same thing happen in the last 48 hours My email was almost emmpty of WP alerts from you fine folk. I knew something was up, hence my post that you were not receiving alerts about. Check your spam folder. That is where all my alerts were! For some reason all of a sudden WP emails are being dummped into my spam folder despite that I have not chnaged one setting on my email or my blog. What’s up with that? S my advice is check your spam in your email.

I don’t get notifications via email because I’ve set it up that way – I just use the Reader to catch up on blogs I subscribe to. Far less overwhelming than getting all those emails. Nothing wrong with taking a break from reading others’ blogs, Julie. As Tilly says, you worry too much 🙂

Ah, so THAT’s why I am getting 2 email notifications for every blog post I follow. Julie, your email probs. must drive you up the wall. Anway my poor computer has got the hiccups LOL.
Computers drive me up the wall with their shenanigans. I find it rather curious how my computer often plays up at exactly the same time as yours (but in a different way).
I think my computer decides to ‘play up in sympathy’ with your computer.
I think your computer and mine both need a good reprimand!

Well as I suffer from a guilt condition (haha!) I didn’t want people to feel ignored.
I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get my notifications………….lol

Like most software upgrades, it’s two steps forward and one step backward. I noticed that a couple of days ago some things changed. During saves I started losing part of the post I was saving. On the other hand, the formatting problem that often occurred when I was saving a draft doesn’t occur anymore. Alas…………
