We didn’t know that
everything would get so hard.
Our smiles would falter
We always knew that
our marriage was forever.
In sickness and health.
We didn’t know that
he’d have to have surgery
on his twisted back
We didn’t know that
everything would get so hard.
Our smiles would falter
We always knew that
our marriage was forever.
In sickness and health.
We didn’t know that
he’d have to have surgery
on his twisted back

Life is full of so many things we didn’t know but you have come through all and yes sometimes you must feel why did this happen to us but you have to focus on all the good things and not stew over the bad stuff…….Ming had his surgery and his back has improved and you and Anthony are still in love yes his health is not what you would like but you still have him
Yes you are so right!
I’m really loving your posts… lovely…
Shucks – thanks!
She’s something eh bulldog? I love Julie’s posts too!
She really is good with a heart of gold and a way of expressing absolute joy and laughter…
nicely put – truth can fit form
I just realized that haikus usually have a bit of nature stuff in them – back to the drawing board ha!
I know–that is why I call mine haikuish so the haiku people cannot get too mad at me–though I have books full of haikus and some of them are just about washing your hands etc–so I do not think there is a wrong way to haiku
Phew – a relief – thanks haikuer!
A sombre set of haikus born of life itself. We don’t know what comes around the next corner: but here’s to the strength to see it through and still recognise the signs of love in every day.
Wish I had your wisdom – I keep stuffing up!
Unrules…Senryu is like Haiku only it deals with human nature rather than nature. It’s usually a bit satirical, but still….this is more Senryu. Call it what you will, it’s still beautiful and sad and whistful and you!

UNC.
Not sure whether UNC suits you now – I think you should be Unbelievable Highness (UH)?
UH? Well heck…the sentiment is humbling and makes me blush….but really? You want me to be uh? That makes me sound so….so….uh.
xo

Will you stop making me laugh – I was in tears about stuff and you ruined it – ha! No, UH doesn’t suit you – perhaps UH UH?
ROFL….Uh Uh? That’s sounds like you are telling me I can’t have a cookie! and just mingle the laughter with the tears…I find that makes for better laughter and better tears anyway. love you TSAM

G’night U…rofl the unsweeetcheeks KILLS me. Love it.
A few words can say so much.
Yes it’s an interesting exercise in being concise!
thank you for letting me in a bit more into your life………..
Welcome!
OK, I am catching up here!
What a twist in that back – Geez – so glad he is all better ๐
Me too!
Amazing post— nature isn’t a requirement anymore for Haiku (i’ve been told) … and you captured so much feeling in so few words (+photos)… loved it Julie ~ but sad too … you know? xo
They’re fun to write aren’t they!
Yes – I’m just learning too. A friend bought me a book when I started blogging and I wasn’t sure they could be enough – but yours proves they are!! xo
Robyn you don’t need a book – you can just write!
You are a Haiku natural m’lady! ๐
It’s fun!
Great stuff .. don’t have a clue .. about this haiku, leave it to the professionals. Looking at Mingโs back, it looks hurtful. Wonderful photos and great small poems.
I hadn’t seen this photo of Ming’s back for awhile and got a bit of a shock myself!
So it’s a recent photo ????
ok what the heck is haiku…I keep seeing that word everywhere…. poems with only 3 lines?
Answered above.
I’m so confused
my mind is muddled
I wait for your response….
Is that Haiku? ๐
Nearly! It’s 3 lines with 5/7/5 syllables.
Wonderful picture of you on your wedding day. The suit was beautiful and the color and sheen of the fabric gave you lovely soft glow that seemed to framed your happiness that day.
I had it made in such a way I could wear it again but I never have!
Life what will bring us we never know, dear Julie… But the most important part or thing is LOVE and I can see this in your photographs and words too. Blessing and Happiness, Thanks and love, nia
ThankYOU!!
