Spring’s onslaught

on September 4, 2012

It is now the fourth day of Spring here and it hasn’t stopped storming – ferocious rain, wind, and a very frightened sun that tries to peek out of the black sky and then withdraws again. The whole house is rattling with this extraordinary weather and I don’t dare venture out even though it is already after 2pm. I await a lull so that I can go out and tend to the birds.

  1. Do they all have their own special places to hide from the rain? Soggy birds don’t make happy birds except when they’re out catching worms!

  13. I love a good storm, but not one that lasts for days! Hope you dry out soon. I’m sure the birds will be getting testy.

So strange to think of you going into spring there, when we are going into fall here. Our weather this week has been bullish too! Glad we stayed in! It’s safer that way. ~ Lynda

I like the happy, little, Spring song in the movie Bambi better.
