I’m still struggling with asthma (I realize now this is most likely due to having the old carpets ripped out the other day). So I’m not keeping up with other blogs very well at the moment.
Anyway, the pics are of our older two peafowl, King peacock on the left and his adoring Queenie. They kind of remind me of Anthony and me!
They are amazigly affectionate! That’s sweet that they make you think of yourself with Anthony.:)
They are so gentle!
🙂
love is such a beautiful thing!
Sure is!
And you’re the pretty one, right? A couple of lovebirds.
Lovebirds would have been a better title for the post!
What a lovely picture I get in my mind now of you and Ant…
I was always the more affectionate one until lately.
Awesome photo
I love the snuggly one!
You’re rather plain:)= , he’s rather handsome.
How dare you – I’m gorgeous – hahahaha!
Love is so beautiful, in whatever form it takes…
So sweet!
Thanks Mary.
Awwww……How cute are they…….It’s surprising how effectionate bird partners are towards each other when you observe them closely and for a length of time.
I’m sorry to hear your asthma is still playing up. No doubt it was the ripping carpet that stirred up all the trouble. It may take a couple of weeks for the dust, pollens & other dead mites from an old carpet to settle or work their way out of the house.
If you can have all the doors & windows open (with flawier screens), it might be worth spraying a fine mist of water around the rooms & window sills to help settle any airborn stuff still lurking. In this warm weather, the misty water settling on the floor should dry soon enough. V xo
Good advice and many thanks!
I mean ‘flywire’ screens, not flawier – LOL
Yes but flawier is a more interesting word!
Dear Julie, I am sorry about your asthma too. Have you tried to drink rose water? Search it, it could be good… These photographs fascinated me how beautiful. Thank you, Blessing and Happiness, love, nia
I’ll get some rosewater asap – thxxxxx
They look lovely! Are they always this loving? I can “sympathize” with your struggle with asthma, now that I have looked up the word and its meaning.
Ha – your sympathy is appreciated!
I have been researching grief, and in the early hours of the morning I realised that you and Ming are also grieving. I have read your blog as a love story and have read and heard your words of love, anger, frustration and pain. What I missed is the raw grief. I am so sorry my friend.
Prolonged grief is the pits as you well know. You are a great friend, Tersia – thank you.
do these birds mate for life?
Not typically, but these two seem to!
Love photos …. *smile – love the end sentence in you post …
It’s true!
What tender, touching photos. And such beautiful birds! I often see the same behavior with the Muscovy ducks that are around here. They’re actually fairly unattractive birds – to us. But to one another? It’s all lovey-dovey-Muscovey!
Love is in the air, Julie. Thank you for reminding us. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo
Sweet! Hope you get your asthma in control.
The birds are beautiful. Hope you feel better soon.
that is so sweet…………..
Adorable!
Feel better soon.
What a great set Jules – I love this!
Those photos are amazing!
