Due to waterlogged, ancient telephone wires, I have had weeks and weeks of trouble with both phone and internet. Finally, the new wireless modem is configured, the landline is disconnected and the mobile phone is working inside the house (I don’t have to keep on running outside into the rain to have a conversation).
Ah, the rain; after our first month of spring and its relentless downpours, the sun is finally coming out to play again!
Bubble and Baby Turkey seem to be particularly excited about this.
Gee, long time since i have seen Bubble and Baby. Seeing the fruit and the sun gave me a lift-it was cloudy and cold here.
Really sunny today!
Oh how i wish we were coming into Spring instead of winter. When Al is no longer here I am seriously considering moving to Kentucky where my daughter lives. They have a few ice storms but barely any snow like us and it is not nearly as cold. It is not uncommon for where I live to have 2 feet of snow fall at one time. Snow here can begin in October and snow until the first week of April. It is snow and cold and ice and then a month long of rain like you had. Very little warm weather, June, July and August are the best, September and October are beautiful fall colors but from there on it is hell on ice!
We have never had snow!
Ah, the joys of Spring at last and here’s to working modern technology! Enjoy.
So dependent on internet!
Lovely. Is that a Llama you have? The Peacock at the top has lovely blue feathers. Looks like a Glasgow Rangers fan!
You have nice weather to look forward to – we will have cold weather and icy roads and pavements to deal with soon.
We have two alpacas – a bit smaller than llamas I think.
Sounds a bit like the spring we had but our summer was lovely.b
I think we will probably get a heat wave.
You are so lucky to have had all that early rain… we’ve had none as yet…
Hope you get some soon!
Beautiful place, Julie. I love seeing the birds around the yard.
I only have to look out the window to get a buzz.
Beautiful assortment of birds!
Thanks!
Great photographs. We get cell phone and internet problems all the time without any rain. Ours is just the African way. 🙂
Our particular bit of the southwest of Western Australia is the same!
So YOU stole all the sunlight! Give it back! 🙂
Ha!
I love the photos Jules – you can feel the sun in each frame!
It was the wettest September in my memory.
Julie, Let the sun caress your face, and let yor fingers caress the keyboard. It is just so damn much better having you around. Take care, and have a great day. Bill
You are a poet!
It seems like everyone is having a party in your yard lol. The turkeys must be the Masters of Ceremony the way they are strutting thier stuff. 😀
They even flirt with the car!
We too are enjoying the sun for a change, though our seasons are opposite, the result is the same. Let’s hope it sticks around long enough to dry things out. The birds look happy and beautiful as always. xo
It’s the first time the rain has ever got me down – it just went on and on and on and on. Today, the quiet of the sunshine is weird!
Enjoy the quiet while you can. 🙂
Ok
The rain is a pain but just look how lush all that grass is! Great photos Julie!
Yes I love the green – it’ll be brown again in a couple of months!
For you and all your beauties. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL7YxIxHepI 🙂
You truly live in a paradise of your own.
I agree!
Great pics! particularly enjoy seeing the turkeys with their tail feathers fanned out.
They are terrible flirts!
A very nice set of spring shots. I’m glad that at least technology isn’t giving you a hard time. Long may it last. From a photography point of view i would love to have your peacocks but I don’t think that I could put up with the noise. Are yours very loud?
It’s a bit like a broken fire engine siren multiplied by 12.
Do you get so used to it that you stop noticing it?
No.
So happy for you, Julie. You are surrounded by such beautiful creatures. 🙂
Everything/one looks wonderful Julie. 🙂
So good!
You have sent all the rain this way today!
The electricity was out for five hours!
🙂
Ha – sorry about that!
Just love those beautiful peacocks.
Me too!
The birds all look like they are enjoying the sun!
Your internet is working mine is giving me a headache, well mostly it is my email that is giving me a headache…………..
New modem stopped working and now on old modem – argh!
I so much love your photos, Julie – always 🙂
What a lovely day! 🙂
Looks like a beautiful day! Hope the weather lasts….
