Inviolable

on June 14, 2012

I love this word so much.

It signifies strength, fortitude, courage and it means you can step off the metaphorical mountain and freefall into the water and easily – very easily – swim to the shore.

Inviolable.

If I had had a daughter I would have called her Viola!

I would have never connected Viola to inviolable. Viola makes me think of music, not strength, but maybe she’d have had both.

As a former violinist, I know the viola provides that steady, resonant, nearly-background tone that somehow bridges and blends all other sounds in a symphony. I think Viola would be a wonderful name, and somehow apropro.

  14. Wonderful pics! So much beauty and joy.
