Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again
This little ditty has been dissected and analyzed by hundreds of literary scholars and nursery rhyme enthusiasts, but I’m just using it here to describe how ghastly this week has been in so many ways – not just for me but for Ming and Anthony too. The good thing is that I have found a way of putting Humpty dumpty together again and he will be sitting back up on his wall again tomorrow with a big smile.
good for you!!!!!!! creative……..
Thanks Terry – been a bad week so best I could do! How are you and Al?
we are hanging in there but got good news. read my new blog! and celebrate with me!
ok will check it out right now!
In Sweden – is’t “Imse Vimse spindel” – http://youtu.be/TwYC4zqnA2g – that the rain flushes away and when the sun comes out again – he get all dry and climes up again. Really cute little song. I suppose Humpty-Dumpty is a spider too.
“Imse Vimse spindel klättra upp för trå´n.
Ner faller regnet spola spindeln bort
Upp stiger solen torka bort allt regn.
Imse Vimse spindel klättra upp igen”
I thought Humpty was an egg – haha! Are you talking about ‘insy winsy spider?’
Maybe I’m …. I thought it was the same song – have to go on Youtube now.
See what happens when there has never been any kids in the house *laughing. Totally different song – sorry about that. Still I like Ins winsy spider – still a cute song.
I like that one too and can you believe I have just seen a big spider in the corner of the room – argh!
Don’t have problems with spiders … I think they are beautiful even if they are dangerous. Snakes an other matter – but I are a bit fascinated by green snakes, but on a danger free distance.
Now you’re an egg conjurer? I love it! Go make some magic.
spiders? eggs? snakes? yikes…can we please stick with birds? and wishing better, more manageable days jules. how’s that ‘thing’ going? need a pep talk?
All good – how about you?
meh!
The stupid asthma stuffed up all my plans this week – finally okay again tonight – I get freaked out with asthma – pathetic!
not pathetic. and not something to take lightly. I would get freaked out too! please take necessary precautions Jules..
can breathe again now after 3 days on prednisone – oh the relief!
Want to hear about your glue of life.
I’m still inventing it!
Well do tell Miss Jules. and how will this feat being handled.
You are an amaXing magician my friend! ~Cannot wait to see wht you have come up with next
YOU Rock ~ BB
sorry you had a bad week – sounds like it is getting better – have you kicked Ike (Tina) yet?
(hugs)
No but I have won the battle so far!
yes I saw that – Tina has been molified
He is really timid now – weird. Now I feel like the bully!
no no – he is the bully – look at your wounds and stay strong – you can forgive him eventually
ok
You know, I just discovered I wasn’t following you. Surprised me because I feel like I’m here all the time. Now, I’ll never miss your posts.
I keep thinking I am subscribed to some blogs then realize I’m not when I am sure I ticked the box – ha!
Glad you found a way!
This is synchronistic. I often think of me as Humpty Dumpty…with all the doctors and specialists, and all their tests and machines that couldn’t diagnose me and help put me back together, yet I was in such a debilitated state. They sent me home telling me there was nothing more they could do for me…
But how are you now?
Humpty Dumpty actually existed believe or not, he’s now buried somewhere in Colchester Marsh. And he was accompanied in his fall by Royalist Gunner ‘One-eyes’ Thompson. Got to love the random facts you can stumble upon in books you pick up on a whim.
Well that’s interesting – thanks!
Glue, string or love …. what did you use.???
Superglue!
I hope that Humpty rises again for you soon.
Getting there!
Well that is good news that you know how to put Humpty Dumpty back together again…………
Ha!
