I will do this
I didn’t have time
I will finish this
I didn’t have the energy
I will conquer this
I got waylaid
I will be grateful
I was too sad
I will get fit
Ï was too tired
I will bake bread
I ran out of flour
I will eat properly
I wasn’t hungry
Anthony used to call this the Ï was gonna complex!
don’t we all suffer from the disease.???
I guess so!
I am very familiar with this complex — now I need to exchange is for I am gonna not I was
Good idea!
And most of us can relate….only too well….Diane
Unfortunately!
I love the play in the title, and I think we all do this.
Glad it’s not just me – ha!
Hey, I got one of those too!
Ha!
I used to do this a lot (when I was working) as I was just too exhausted and in too much pain to think otherwise.
I did well for a couple of years and then recently fell backwards.
A week off the computer helped.
A change of any routine helps.
(and being kind to oneself – none of us are perfect).
Not easy!
My complex is called “fixin’ to”. Can you tell I am from the deep south of the US ?
I can almost hear your voice!
I have days where my excuses out weight my own body weight! LOL
You crack me up!
i laugh when i can find a reason!!!! haha
Oh, I am having a day like that.Or is it a week? Hm-m-m.
Awful isn’t it.
Oh so true! I so relate. I agree with Victoria. Sometimes I forget there’s real life beyond my fingertips. The WWW holds our minds so captive. Time to get up and plant flowers.
What’s a flower? Haha!
You should put that to music so we can all sing along as we were all “gonna”.
LOL!
I can relate to this!
Julie, and he did so quite confidently LOL LOL. Take care, Bill
Yes!
For me, this pretty well sums up the human condition.
Oh no!
Hope all is well with you, Anthony, Ming, and all those little birdies!
Thanks Russel. I’m behind with yours and other blogs – might try your camping idea!
This sums up where I have been for weeks.
Until today that is!
I hope you are not there today. Blessings to you, Anthony and Ming!
I can so relate to this many times I hear hubby making the same excuses………….
How beautifully true this is. I think we should celebrate this complex. I can associate with this in a heartbeat and am grateful to not be alone in this~
yes me too! ~ you’ve captured the spirit so well! x R
Ah, yes, the “Ï was gonna” complex. I think most of us know it well…
Julie, that doesn’t sound like a very healthy state of mine …. you must look after yourself properly. I have been there myself, it is tough and it is rough. I call them duvet-days. Maybe you should stay under the duvet .. when this has landed on you – just read .. look at TV … feel sorry for yourself, because are allowed to do that. *smile
At last I have a name for the ailment!
Did you write this post for me?
(Because I hear my own voice).
Hahaha!
I used to have a friend who called this “The Hesitation Blues” – which also happens to be a favorite song for me.
No more hesitating, I tell myself! I’m a-gonna be resolutionary!
My computer’s video thingy isn’t working so will try later – thank you!
I know it well 😦
Love it!
