Julie, we all need a break from time to time, you took a brief one, and got refreshed, now your equipment has decided to take a break of their own, next time just a little better coordination, that’s all you need. Take care, see you when equipment is good to go. — Bill
Ha – yes – the computer is still behaving strangely but working at the moment – crossed fingers. I am taking it to a techy this week. Thanks Bill.

Jules been there. Done that. A few times over the course of two plus years. Something with technology seems to be my cross to bear every few months.
Lessons being taught? Doubtful.
I rarely remember what took it out in the first place.

If you have Google Messenger or Yahoo etc loaded I can talk to you in real time and get your PC sorted.
Initially you should get the disc scanned for errors and run a good anti virus program and a spyware program to clear the hard drive of rogue files. I use AVG antivirus and it fairly clears the disk of undesirable files.
You are 7 hours ahead just now (it is British Summer Time just now so add 1 hour to GMT) so you would have to get up early.
You are kind Jane! No I don’t have those things loaded (I don’t think!) and when I try to load anything something goes wrong. Took me half an hour to get into wordpress – argh. Am taking computer to a technician this week.
Julie, don’t worry …. we don’t have to replay on everything we read. Technical problems is a part of our life today … I personal hate it when it happens, but the there is some “homework” happening in the meantime. Will be here.

You can roll back Windows to a time when everything worked okay. Why don’t you try to roll back Windows. I only know how to do it on XP but if you tell me what version of windows you are using I can give instructions.
