Stomach bug

on July 28, 2013

After my happiness post I was struck with an awful gastric attack, shivery, melty fever, unquenchable thirst, and aches so have been in bed for over 24 hours. Good intentions of replying to comments and commenting on other blogs went down the loo.

I’m sorry to hear you’re unwell, Julie.
Hope you get over it quickly.

Life is totally unpredictable. I find good intentions always go straight down the loo (which is an English word I think). People across the Pacific call it the Bathroom.

Almost sounds like you had a Flu virus with the ‘aches’ bit.

  9. Sorry to here that! It certainly has been a strange summer.
I had a “big toe vacation” in May (my toe got hurt so I couldn’t swim the whole time I was in Hawaii), and now my husband (took a while to figure out what was wrong) needs a root canal.
So I know what you mean about not getting around to other things that you want to do!!

My friend’s a doctor and she told me to keeps my hands washed as stomach bugs can be caught from being transferred from hands to food.

Continually wash your hands and use antibacterial gel and you should avoid the norovirus.

The NHS has a campaign about washing hands.
