About the last post

on January 9, 2015

I am not as bleak as I sound but I was terribly blah and a bit sickly over last few days, off and on. Previous post is first draft of first bit of proposed book perhaps better to start off more happily? Just want to be honest. Am going away next weekend so all is well.

  1. Pleased to hear you’re having a break – from the sound of things it’s just what you need.

No, be honest in what you felt and recall.

  3. Maybe a little bit of happiness first?

  4. Have a wonderful time Jules, you most definitely deserve it! 😀

  5. Glad to hear you’re off for a rest — I found the last post very compelling and raw and real. For me, it pulled me in, it called to my heart — to use it as the intro, and then go back to the beginning would be for me, a very powerful structure for your book.

Glad to read that things are a bit better. Thanks for letting us know.

A well needed break for sure Jules. Have fun and take care of yourself. 😀 ♥

Glad you’re going to get your break Jules. I am in VT with my Dad and after a short conversation, my Mother and I agreed she also needed a break. She’s his caregiver 24/7 and very few people (namely my 3 brothers) seem to realize just how hard it is on her mentally, physically, and emotionally. One previously eluded to brother lives upstairs in the same house! He’ll often drop in to check on Dad but I have YET to hear him ask “How are you Mom?” Anyway…take your break, treat yourself, relax and recharge. Oh and I agree with Louise…if you’re thinking of opening your book that way…incredibly strong. Love ya….xoxo

  9. I agree with Louise. my sentiments entirely. enjoy yourself

  10. I disagree that your book needs to start out positive. It’s ok to be down and grumpy, all caretakers get that way. It’s just a signal that you need to step back and take care of yourself for a minute.

  11. Julie, we often forget to take care of ourselves in the midst of taking care of everyone else. Pleaes do take care of you …. Itty Bitty

  12. Oh I hope your break is great, I also feel like I need a break

  13. I have days like that, when I’m just not sure I want to get out of bed. I wouldn’t shy away from the sad any more than I would shy away from the happy.

  14. Starting off real and in your face is a better grabber. At this stage of the game, the “happy’ is comingled with the painful and sad parts and keeps you going, but overall it is not what any of us would ever choose for ourselves or our loved ones. My mom is worse now, too, and very ill. It seems the way of things. 😦

    Glad to hear that…
