We are being visited by more and more pink and gray galahs. Here is a head shot of two of them. I would like to say this is deliberate but of course it isn’t; it is my poor photography skills. This afternoon I will try to get the rest of the birds into the photo – you never know!
the trees against the sky looks wickedly beautiful!!!!
The tree looks good but I wanted to get those galahs – argh!
next time!!!!! i still loved the shot. i could use that as a photo for a scary halloween story!!! i loved it!
Pink birds – how lovely! So many colours down under!
I’ll get a better photo this arvo I hope!
That’s great, especially since I now know what arvo means! 😉
Whoops! Aussie slang.
That’s OK I know what it means!
I love the almost birds… or the heads of them… but the tree is beautiful….
I don’t even know what kind of tree it is!
…. 🙂 This is so lovely… Thank you dear, love, nia
I managed a great photo of a Wattlebird’s tail feathers last week 😦
But, the tree and the sky do look beautiful . . . lots of Galah’s here in Victoria, too., but they never stay still long enough for me to snap them.
Yeah – just checked out your blog – we have a lot in common including daschschunds!
Love their little heads. I tried to get a shot of a parakeet and all I got was a tree and a blur.
We had a bit of a Spring storm this afternoon so I didn’t get the opportunity to take more pics!
It’s a great photo – spot the galahs!
I’ve recently found you (via Tilly Bud’s blog), and spent a lot of my weekend going right back to the first post and following your story. I found it gripping – meals were delayed while I read ‘just one more’. I love your photos, and loved reading about the birds, and the ups and down of life with your wonderful family. 🙂
Thanks, Elaine! I checked out your blog and love it and we obviously both adore Tilly so it is lovely to meet you! Jxx
That’s actually a pretty good looking photo!
Fantastic birds-yes, please stop teasing me and show more! 🙂 Jane
I’ll try!
It toke me a while before I notice the birds – but you got them … and next time maybe you can concentrate on their feet and get the whole birds. Nice try.
My husband love birds and Galahs are some of his favourite me I have never been a bird person………….
You’re not a bird person? I’m appalled hehehe!
You did better than I did when trying to take a picture of some warblers – all I got were their behinds!
Methinks you are just teasing us with bird portraits.
I love their little heads just popping up in the bottom of the frame.
When I first downloaded this photo I couldn’t see them to begin with!
Well, it’s a unique approach to “head shots”!
That’s charming!
haha!
