I take Gutsy9 outside as often as I can but I can’t leave him alone because he’s nervous of the bigger birds.
This is King and Princess 1 wondering if Gutsy9 is theirs, but not willing to get too close.
Gutsy9 scurries back to me all the time!

I think it is so cool the way he took to Anthony.>KB
I couldn’t take G9 in to see Ants today and he asked where he was!
Heck Julie, I would be nervous too. Those are some dang big birds. Have a great one. Take care, Bill
And King (the father of G9 I think) has been banging his beak of the back window all day – interesting!
He’s so cute! It’s so wierd not to see snow in out doors shots! I’m jealous. 🙂
I wouldn’t mind a bit of snow – it is beginning to really heat up over here!
Heck Julie, I would be scared too, those are big birds. Take care, Bill
I’d scurry back to you too, if I were left alone with those two big birds.
You should see him scurry after me from room to room – hilarious!
You’re his adopted mother, and he’s adorable. He has to be lots of fun.
Except when he poops on my shoulder!
Your place looks idyllic and Gutsy-9 is getting bigger!
He is eating a lot of mealworms!
Peacocks are so big and they start out that small how cute………..
Growing fast though haha!
Did you ever find a nest? or miss a bird for a period of time, i think i may have m ssed some info somewhere.. c
No, I never found a nest but some of the females went a bit stircrazy and kept disappearing and reappearing and disappearing again. Then I was just feeding them all when G9 ran past – I have not found any others or any nests or eggs or anything – just Gutsy!
I hope the Gang don’t scare him too much.
Is he safe from the dogs?
No way will I let the dogs near him! The gang’s curiosity is funny.
at least they won’t eat him
You never know with birds!
The photo of King and Princess checking him out is unique and engaging. Fabulously fun!
Thanks! I’m going to keep photographing the interactions as they evolve.
so cuuute!
I was out for a few hours today so left him in his box in the kitchen and on the way home I was all excited to get back to him – ridiculous!
Simply adorable! ~Lynda
He’s not so adorable when he follows me into the bathroom and EVERYWHERE!
Hm… he must be related to my cat Claus. Second cousins twice removed? 😉
So you are the momma. When will it be possible to get one of the others to take him on?
He needs to be a lot bigger – not sure – maybe a few weeks? I am playing it by ear.
If he sees you as his mum, I suppose he’ll think the birds are very strange creatures! 🙂
You are right – he thinks they’re weirdos!
I am SO happy for you and G9 & Ants – new life! So wonderful!
Thanks Tammy!
What a beautiful little soul…
He is adorable!
I can see this Gutsy9 … coming into your bed in a years time, and not so cute anymore *smile – be prepared. Looking forward to those photos. He are absolutely adorable.
Argh!
Yes, be careful .. *smile
You better star potty training that bird, he’s obviously going to be living inside with you 🙂
No way!
Awwww, c’mon, don’t be a meanie! 🙂 He loves you
The picture with King and Princess 1 is hilarious!
I remember when our dogs had a pup – just one pup – both the mother and father had the same reaction, like “what the hell is this thing?”
it is so refreshing to see this after seeing the terrible scenes of death in CT. thank u for sharing with me Julie
