Statistics have never been my forte, however, in the process of putting together a photo-book for my mother’s 80th birthday, I have had to become a bit statsy:
For example, in sifting through hundreds of photos, with the simple quest of finding each of the eleven grandchildren conveniently posed next to Grandma, I have found 1500 of Ashtyn, but only one or two of the other ten. So now I am terrified that one or other of my mother’s grandchildren will be upset not to to be featured as much as their peers.
Not to worry: I have now made a list of all of the grandchildren who have been printed out: with Grandma, without Grandma, upside-down, looking gorgeous, looking like the ink ran out, tolerating the fact that their baby photo has the wrong name on it. I think it will be a lovely gift anyway as soon as my mother reimburses me for 15 ink cartridges, post-glue-stress syndrome, and helps me clear up the mess of my previously tidy writing room!
STATISTICS!
YOU’RE GOING TO GET ME INTO SUCH STRIFE!!!!! Mama!
Wonderful fun!
One of the hardest things is getting you and Ash OUT of some of the photos in order to privilege the other little sweeties!
Amazing fun! It is time consuming because one gets lost going down memory lane. Lots of love!!
As long as there are lots of miscellaneous photos of the grandchildren it’ll be fine…. It’s going to be a lovely gift !…. Diane
Just Photoshop faces onto bodies to even the count! Voila. It’s cool that you’re doing this.
It’s so worth the joy it will bring to your mum Julie! β€

LOL! I helped my cousin Francoise make one for her in-law’s and it was a lot of fun but it wasn’t easy keeping the ratios balanced. I feel your pain lol π
You are so much more patient than me I have thought about doing one but was going to cheat and do it on a print site so all I would have had to do was upload the pics, arrange them and add a few captions and I didn’t even finish doing that lol
It all sounds incredibly complicated, well done you for making the effort!
Stats I love ’em…
Good work. I know how hard that sort of thing is.
Statistically speaking I bet most everyone will appreciate the work that goes in to the present and already know how the picture taking is always lopsided. Happens in every family! π
I am not one for stats either, and why does ink have to cost so bloody much honestly it is bloody ridiculous at times the cost of ink
Chatter Master is right on. We never have the balance of photos of any of the children…but, one thing I make sure of is that I balance out the numbers when I frame them for hanging on the walls. Cause my grandchildren are “counters”… π What a lovely gift that your mom will be so very proud of. π
I enjoyed seeing your untidy room. Made me feel better about mine!
