I think that contentment is underrated. Anthony has always had it, and Ming has it too, whereas I have always struggled.
Lately, Anthony makes me feel the most wonderful calm; he is so accepting of what is (a huge lesson to me). Ming drops in between restaurant shifts and we all have a bit of a laugh at whatever show is on TV.
Today, after Ming left, this was my conversation with Anthony:
Me: We are all so lucky in our relationship with each other, Ants!
Anthony: Yes, we don’t seem to be losing any hours.
When I think about his words, I feel content.
Contentment, what a pleasant place to find yourself.
Wonderful!
Yes I struggle with contentment too – am trying to learn it though
I used to think it sounded boring – how wrong I was!
I am content; that is a blessing greater than riches; and he to whom that is given need ask no more.
Henry Fielding
Lovely quote – thank you Judy.
Wonderful. ❤

Feeling very lucky all of a sudden!
Time is the most precious commodity and an hour wasted can never be regained. Much love
You are so right and you really know this my lovely friend.
My best friend struggles to find contentment and is constantly restless. Hopefully she sees my lean towards contentment having a positive influence on her.
I hope so too. Your have had a positive influence on me.
I feel very content after reading this post, Julie.
Thanks! Now I must catch up on reading posts – am very behind.
Here’s what helps me stay content, Julie: “You have all the time you need.”
You are so kind xxx
It takes one to know one! xxx
Being content with ones life makes for a happier life, just saying
Contentment is so hard to come by when one remembers so clearly what was and hopes so hard for what should be. It’s living in the middle of things that I find makes me unable to just accept the moment. Lord, help.
I understand totally.
Contentment is visiting the Isle of Arran in Scotland. It’s an area I’ve known since I was a four-year-old child. Google it and take a tour on Streetview through the island.
All the Scottish Islands have a calmness not experienced in the mainland.
