Now that I have resigned my part-time job as life-style assistant in the dementia wing of the nursing home, it has been an absolute joy to continue to visit the women I’ve become so fond of.
The hurt has transmogrified (oh how much I love that word!) into the hugging thing and, this afternoon, I visited and kept it simple.
We just did a lot of hugging.
Hugging is good!
I think it beats any therapy.
Hugs are amazing.
When I was working in the dementia cottage I was so busy doing the activities I thought I should do that hugging was kind of secondary. Now that I am a visitor, it has become primary.
Way to go!!! Keep those hugs going!
I will!
Here is another hug for good measure. 😀
AWWWWWW!!!!!
😀
Hug away, there’s nothing like it.
You are so right!
Just sending YOU some ‘hugs’….. Diane xx
Received with gratitude Diane xxx To you too!
Sounds like things are starting to fall in place again. Enjoy those hugs.
Yes, took me awhile to recover from the shock of my bewilderment about having to resign but much more free now to visit and hug these beautiful women.
Keep it up.
I will. Manager has put some roadblocks in the way of me visiting but we have had a face-to-face meeting and all appears to be resolved now (I hope!)
That’s great.
The value of human touch is grossly underestimated. Love your heart Julie! ❤
